The halloween hermit is notable for its bright orange striped legs and its specialized adaptation to fit inside the tight space inside cone snail shells. Like all hermit crabs they are opportunistic feeders and graze on various types of algae and consume uneaten food. Halloween hermits are typically slightly larger than the average hermit, the ones we have available are around 2 to 2.5 inches in length.
