The flame hawkfish is one of the most striking of the hawkfish. Like all of the hawkfish it has an abundance of personality and is a hardy aquarium resident capable of holding its own even in tanks with aggressive fish that are larger than it. Hawkfish prey on crustaceans and may eat ornamental shrimp, crabs, and hermit crabs.
